"[music]" "[music]" "[music]" "[music]" Agent X11, Hollywood dark journalist, begins now. and welcome to another episode of Agent X11, a Helwood dark journalist. My name is Penny Ley Shepard and I am agent X11
2:43 and we're joined today by Christi Tasker, Christy for Miami, but also Christy has so many different handles, Christi Tasker, Patriots Perspective. We're going to be talking about many things, but one of the things we're going to touch upon is Lindsay Isaac was jailed for a flock camera misinformation. Do you think she should sue the flock, the city, county, or state that jailed her based on a false identifier? I'm also joined by my co-host, Joe Marne, and Terry Bradley. Christie, how are you today? I'm great, Penny. Thanks so much for having me on. And we are streaming, I believe, live on Patriots Perspective.
3:21 So, if anybody is there, please make sure that we're supposed to be, let's put it that way. [laughter] We've tried this before. So, it looks like it's working because it's otherwise it would say it's not streaming there. Okay, great. Great. We hope that it is. Um, thank the Lord because everybody needs to hear what we're going to be talking about today and um Terry, you especially, you need everybody, every all hands on deck with um what we're going to be learning here today. Okay. So, uh where would you like to begin? Well, let's go ahead and start with what's on our thumbnail. Um let's go ahead and get directly into that. But I want to tell everybody, you're gonna want to stay around because I'm going to
3:59 tell you what I have personally done regarding my property tax bill, which it is insane what's going to be on amendment three, why you're being lied to by politicians, and what they're really doing with your tax money. And we could say a little bit over uh to, you know, as long as you need the time, we'll give it to you. And so I'm going to bring in a video. So people who do not know, this was one of the most horrific cases that I've seen. Um, I did play a video of her in court crying, describing what happened to her. They literally led her to a mental breakdown. And
4:36 before we play this, I I want everybody to know that this is this happens all the time. This is not just one off incident. What happens is you're just hearing people that actually are brave enough to speak about it afterwards because a lot of people are so traumatic or they just believe that, oh, I'll just pay the fine and be done with it because like I don't want to go to court. It gives them anxiety, gives them stress. They never know if they're going to be jailed. They're going to they never know what's going to happen to them. So, there are so few people that will speak
5:06 up about something that we all need to start using our voices because otherwise we're going to lose them. Yeah. and this but by the grace of God go I this can happen to anyone. I think that's a horrific message. Someone bring a video on that. Along Florida's Interstate 4, a silent memorial to three lives lost. Victims of a hitand-run [music] pileup on this lonely stretch of highway between Orlando and Daytona Beach. A chain reaction that kept on going until a fourth innocent [music] victim lost her freedom. The only thing you're guilty of is driving past a flock camera. Correct.
5:45 It's the only reason they were here. That is the [music] only reason they found the vehicle through a flock camera. Lindsay Isaac's black Dodge [music] Durango was seized by the Florida Highway Patrol because they said it was located on a Flock license plate reader camera 3 miles west of the scene minutes before the crash. According to her arrest affidavit, the highway patrol "[music] jailed her on eight felonies, including three counts of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a fatal crash." It was like living in hell, literally itself, maybe worse than hell. It was terrible.
6:21 Lindsay was booked into the Valuchia County Jail where any hopes of lying low immediately vanished in the flash of another camera. Your booking photo was on the television's email within seconds in the jail. Yeah. I didn't know how they did it that fast. It was immediate. They took my photo. I sat down. I was waiting for the evaluation. And immediately, not even a minute after they took my picture, it was on the news. There was no chance of you remaining anonymous in [music] jail. They Everyone that saw the TV knew why I was there. After days of solitary confinement, Lindsay says she was transferred to maximum security. [music]
7:01 You're just in there with women that have only committed murder or um sexual offenses. That's [music] where I was placed because it was max charges. My charges were considered one of the worst that there could be. They say it's max [music] security, but they just come in maybe once every hour to make sure everyone's still alive and no one fought each other to death. Lindsay spent 13 days and 12 long nights behind the brick and razor wire of the Valuchia County Jail. Her freedom was uncertain because the charges she was facing carried a maximum sentence of life in prison.
7:38 I did have those moments every day where I was like, I'm never getting out of here. I'm going to die in here. Her bond was denied after the Florida Highway Patrol told the court Lindsay's Durango had fresh damage and smudge or rub marks consistent with the Durango being at the traffic scene when it occurred. One former cop disagreed. So, I was able to personally view and photograph that vehicle, that Dodge Durango. Was it damaged? It was no damage. No damage whatsoever. Looked like it rolled off the showroom floor. It was dirty because it was sitting in a towyard, but otherwise it didn't have a scratch on it. Patrick McGee is Lindsay's lawyer. You wore the badge in the uniform yourself?
8:16 Yes, I did. I was a Miami day sheriff's deputy for almost 20 years and I did traffic homicide investigations. Do you believe the police would have been at her doorstep with an arrest warrant had those flock pictures not existed? No. No. They probably would have never found the vehicle. I mean, it was the whole case. It's what the highway patrol used to try to connect Lindsay to the case. They hooked onto this black Dodge Durango to the exclusion of everything else. McGee says his own photos helped convince the state attorney to put a new team on the case. Those new investigators inspected
8:49 Lindsay's Durango and did not find any damage on this vehicle, suggesting it was involved in a crash with another vehicle. Witnesses at the crash scene reported different colors of Durango. One 911 caller said it was maroon, matching the paint transfer investigators found on a victim's car. A witness also remembered a partial plate that did not match Lindsay's tag or the flock images of her black Durango. You walked out, a free woman. Yeah, I ran out of there. You ran out? I ran out of there. All charges were dropped and a different suspect was arrested the same day.
9:28 Lindsay's [music] booking photo now hangs in her lawyer's office, signed by his exonerated client. You saved my life. [music] You are my best friend. When you drive past a flock camera now, do you immediately notice it? It's like it replays in my mind immediately, everything happened, everything that happened to me. And it's like, they're watching me. They're watching. You know, it they're watching everybody. Flock safety issued a statement in part saying, "Flock cameras provide investigative leads. They do not identify perpetrators, determine guilt, or make arrest decisions." Do I love flaw cameras? No. But I also think it's the police officer looking at the flaw camera. It's not just the camera.
10:08 Isn't there a responsibility of the police officers in some cases to not take this as gospel, but it's just a lead? It's an investigative tool. It's not the end all. And right now that a lot of them are doing it as the end all like these troopers did in this case. Flock's statement added characterizing her arrest as the result of Flock technology fundamentally misrepresents both the allegations and the role our technology played in this case. Flock claims its scans actually proved Lindsay's innocence. There's no cost to an officer for making the wrong decision. For you, the cost was losing your freedom. Mhm. And your reputation.
10:46 My reputation's a big one. For the rest of my life, it's out there. I can't get rid of it. So, I have to carry this like a big bag of bricks for the rest of my life. "[music]" The day after our interview, Florida's governor began the process of removing flock cameras and other license plate "[music] readers from all state roadways within 30 days. Valuchia County, where Lindsay was jailed, was [music] among" the first of many sheriff's offices to announce that all of their flock cameras would be coming down. "[music]" "[music]" So I think the cautionary tale here is that this could be you. This can happen to anyone. And you know uh again Flock
11:40 of course is saying well it's not due to our technology. It's due to uh the faulty uh recognition of the police officers. But this isn't the first time this has happened. Christie. Um, it's going to continue to happen you guys until we um demand that these cameras be removed. They have no business tracking and tracing any of us. Um, we are not better off because of them. Listen, if your laptop gets stolen and you have to replace the laptop and your insurance has to cover it, so be it. But to track and trace every single one of us for a stolen item, a stolen purse, a stolen object, or even a hit
12:15 and run, I'm sorry that, you know, whoever's family um that this happened, but um it in the control of the wrong hands um will also show that, you know, this could have been avoided. Yes. And um it could have easily been avoided, but we have a lot of bad police in Florida. We have a lot of good police, don't get me wrong. We have we have a lot of bad police here. Like if you just look at their records, I'm not sure why we're hiring them other than um I've been told by other law enforcement in
12:47 other states that our rates are really low. Um we do have a um signing bonus for law enforcement um that Governor DeSantz has put into place. Um, we have a lot of really great older cops, but we are missing a new generation of cops who want to be actual investigators. They want to be Tik Tok cops. They want to claim that they solved a case quickly. Um, and and honestly, look at the target. I mean, like if you're looking at the targets, like they're trying to change the perception of people in general. I mean, I'm I'm sorry to say this and people are going to say, well, you know, oh, she's being racist, but the reality is there's been a lot of
13:30 white people suddenly, you know, uh, jailed for, you know, wrongly jailed, wrongly imprisoned. Um, and and think about the George Floyd era. um you know of of what actually occurred even in the case against the cop himself. You know, so it's like what's good, what's bad, what's really going on here is um a next level of, you know, wanting people to feel secure with these cameras around. Meanwhile, we've got Shanghai over here operating as the urban brain and the ne at next level surveillance. I mean, listen, you go to Bickl City Center and a place called Putt Putt. I think it's called Put Putt Putt Shack or something.
14:13 You pick up the ball and they know it's you by your biometric data. Wow. By how hard you hit the golf ball. Okay. Do you know where I mean the the organization that built the building that Putt Putt Shack is in um is owned by Swire Properties? Swire Properties, if we just look at it, is Coca-Cola bottling in China. And we've allowed Swire bottling to start bottling on the West Coast. Like, we should be livid about this. Like, no Chinese company should be allowed to bottle inside the United States of America. So, when I say this, I say this because AI is coming
14:56 out of China. We have surveillance systems coming out of China. We have conglomerates from China that are actively controlling probably the very bottle that you're putting in your mouth to drink your Coca-Cola from. Meanwhile, we have an entire new group of people from um Maha, you know, make America healthy again that are screaming the bottles are causing, you know, you to have plastics in your system. We have more, we eat more than a credit card a month in plastics. Okay, number get rid of your plastics, everybody. Quit drinking out of them. Quit buying food out of them. That's how we can stop it.
15:30 Okay, believe it or not, you go to um France, you go to Italy, you buy things in glass. Okay, so and I say that because they're taking one thing to, you know, like it it could be your Coca-Cola bottling that could be and listen, I haven't tied this together yet. This is just the theory, okay, that we have to look, but we have to look into seeing what are we tied to? Who? Like I've looked up the Flock cameras. Supposedly they're coming out of Georgia. Where are they made? They claim to be made in Georgia. Okay.
16:02 But has anybody actually seen them made in Georgia? Is anybody employed at Flock in Georgia? Because if so, I want to hear from you. I put out shout outs to going, you know, listen, I just want to hear from somebody that's piecing these cameras together in the state of Georgia because I want to know, is this information being sent back to China? And here's my opinion. If you'll pull me up, I've got a little short clip here that we're going to play about um a chilling look inside China's AI powered surveillance system that monitors every
16:33 resident in Shanghai in real time. Okay, this is by DW Documentaries, which is a great Sorry, I'm not sure. My bad. Here we go. Shang Dan Dan co-developed the system. It took less than a year to get the first version up and running. Now she can monitor every resident from this office. We've mapped the residential buildings in the district. Which ones are occupied? Where there are vacancies? where elderly people are living alone, where care or help is needed. It's all stored in our system and can be called up in real time. Even those who do not dispose of their trash properly are recorded.
17:42 Residents who aren't following the rules are captured on camera from three different angles. The so-called brain acts swiftly. Whether it's an illegally parked car or unsolicited advertising, offenses can be handled by patrol officers who are connected to the control center via a mobile app. As soon as the squads and volunteers in residential districts spot an issue, they can report it and upload footage. They take a photo, report the issue, and then our system automatically decides which department to forward the matter to. The brain in Shanghai's Puong district is just one component to the overarching surveillance plan the Chinese government is pushing across the country.
18:48 The goal is to have complete coverage in all major public places [music] such as train stations, street intersections, and parks. China's state media boasts that police can identify every single person on the street in just one second. I mean, can you imagine how many people we're going to have jailed for? Yes. There was an individual that was in China was one of the reporters and he said that his news reporter like illegally parked within uh like seven minutes. This is a person from the United States. He was issued a citation and somehow uh I don't
19:41 know if they were able to extract money from his bank account or not the but within just a matter of a few minutes from him him illegally parking. Yep. and and I can tell you exactly how they're doing it because the minute you land in China, see, a lot of people don't realize that they're on their own monetary system and it's all digital. You're not going to exchange money in in China. Matter of fact, when I got to China in 2017, they were already at this level, guys. I mean, like, we're talking 10 years ago. They've been there, okay?
20:16 So, this has been ongoing there for a very long time. um and the AI manipulation, the uh amount of u discovery that could be gone. And remember, where did the kung fu come from? President Trump told us, right? Where did our election integrity come from? President Trump told us where did the birthright babies, many of them living here in the United States of America, whose parents are Chinese, came over to America, had them, and believe it or not, carried them back to China, Hong Kong, and all over Asia to raise them because they wanted to raise them with a mindset of communism. And you'll
20:58 see a lot of times that these people, listen, some of them are in your Republican party. So both parties are infiltrated um with these people. Um some of them have already been arrested. Some of them work for Kathy Hochel um in New York. Um and let me tell you, these are the ultimate harassers. So if we think that the Chinese Communist Party um you know they've already got this underway in China and by the way there's a sudden new push for um even AI bots and um others to say People's Republic of China PRC they want you to refer to it as the PRC instead of the Chinese Communist Party or the CCP or just
21:41 China. They want you to they they keep trying to remind and push the fact that they claim to be a republic, but the reality is when was the last time they actually held a held an honest election themselves. Um, so you cannot have a republic if you cannot keep it. And if we cannot manage our own local governments and stand up for our own rights, trust me, the Chinese will come in, they will take over, they will dominate, and they will control you through mass surveillance and everything else in between. I was uh used to watch a couple of guys that uh were married to Chinese women living in China and they would go and
22:24 basically just do videos of the Chinese culture and just kind of introducing that to the United States. During that time, China issued uh 40 they gave them uh 48 hours for every foreigner to get the heck out of their country. And they literally kicked them out of their uh apartments or wherever. And so they had to they had to leave and move to uh the United States. They were US citizens. Their wives were Chinese, but they took them with they of course they're going to take their family with them, but That's what China did. So, if we really
23:04 want to pattern ourselves out of China and with this thing going on with the illegal aliens, well, they weren't even illegal. These were the legal ones. It was just like, "Oh, no. Everybody out that's not Chinese." Yeah. Out. You got 48 hours. Get on a plane. Yep. You're gone. And that's it. Yeah. because they don't they don't want anybody there that's going to speak out that's going to be a leader that can lead their people into any kind of overthrow. And it really reminds me of the stories that um I'm hearing from all the J6ers,
23:39 from the Proud Boys, from the Sedicious Five, from Enrique Tario, who um has there there's actually a movie that's coming out by Gateway Pundit called American Martyrs that that's covers the story of the Sedicious Five. And um their story is I mean, in short, Enrique Tario was arrested and he wasn't even there. He was accused of organizing January 6th. He wasn't he didn't even go. Um he had feds most likely dropping in um his ex feed and and his ex DMs trying to send him a plan that by the way he never opened and his account shows that he never opened that plan but instead he was prosecuted. Okay? So malicious
24:24 prosecution. He was jailed and not only was he jailed but over the course of two years. So, think about this. He was jailed over the course of two years and shipped around to 40 federal prisons. Why was he shipped around to 40 federal prisons? Because they were trying to find a federal prison that didn't celebrate his efforts. So, even the convicts were like, "Brother, we love you. We thank you." Like thanking him. Um, meanwhile, you know, that's not really what these federal prosecutors wanted. you know, they want to take them into a place where they're not really
25:03 liked, where they're going to be beat up, where they're going to be assaulted. And yes, it did happen. Absolutely happened. Um, and not a single one of them, single one of the sedicious five have any kind of violent um record whatsoever. But yet, bombers and foreigners were placed in lower risk security than the sedicious five, including Enrique Tario himself. And um I'll tell you it was the the American Martyrs movie is phenomenal. It is going to be put out by Gateway Pundant. I had the privilege of previewing the movie um Saturday night with Enrique um General Flynn and um George Santos was also there. Um
25:46 and the sedicious um there were four of the sedicious five um that were there. Um other people were you know on planes trying to get there because the weather wasn't so great. um coming in from other areas. But I'm just telling you, Rudy Giuliani was there, Peter Tictton was there. Um and you know, the real American fighter showed up. But I'm going to tell you, I am beyond pissed because and shocked at the same time because I believe I was the only one from Miami in the room invited. And then I learned that no, a lot of other patriots were invited. A lot of other patriots could have come. I mean, I invited a few that literally refused.
26:34 I mean, it's like they are still scared of the sedicious five. And the reason they're scared of them is not because they're violent and they're going to come beat anybody up. They've managed to hold Antifa back from all of us. Okay? President Trump signed the order making declaring Antifa a domestic terrorist organization. I believe that domestic terrorist organization is started and funded partly by China itself. President Trump has already told us that China has stolen our elections. We had Chinese operatives online claiming, "Oh, President Trump is meeting with Xi. President Trump. Oh, look at the great leaders working together, putting the two in parallel with each other. Um, that could not be further from the
27:23 truth, ladies and gentlemen. Like, listen, the people out there claiming to speak for for President Trump, President Trump is in mere control here. Um, he was he had here to let him know what's really going on and what's going to go on partly. Um, because there's a lot coming up. Um, we saw Tulsa Gabbert going back into the White House yesterday. Very exciting news there. Um, so our veterans are um still at work. Our retired veterans are still on the move. But here's the deal. They need us to take back control of our local governments. Okay? We we have to put the we have to put the strings back
28:05 on the purses and rein the purses back in locally because a lot of the local governments have tried to overplay their hand with even the federal government by taking such things as funds from the federal government. But let's just say maybe your police station claims federally that they are have employed 1500 employees. H well where are the 1500 employees on your local level? Have you researched that? I mean, I'm sure the IRS must know, but like when is this information going to be investigated by actual humans, by actual people? Because like even Governor DeSantz has come out saying, "Ladies and gentlemen, I can
28:45 only hand you so much on a silver platter. If you don't go out and vote for it, that's your problem. I can't help you, man." He's basically being like, "I can't help you." And so they're talking about things such as your property taxes, which Governor DeSantz, Lieutenant Governor Collins, and now it's my understanding Byron Donald's is also saying, you know, oh, there shouldn't be any property taxes. Uh meanwhile, our Florida legislature went and signed saying, "No, we're doing away with property taxes." Um or to be honest with the public and say, "Hey, listen, you know, we are going to put this property tax relief bill. Um, we were going to put it because it has to change
29:24 the Florida Constitution. So, here's what we're going to do. We're going to put it on your ballot. We're all agreeing you, you know, 60% of Florida should absolutely vote in favor of this because it will eliminate your property taxes, but instead they chose a pathway that is confusing the public. So, and meanwhile, um, so I'm going to tell you a little bit about because we have so many people that are wondering, um, and debating about this, um, tax relief issue. So, I'm going to play Penny just a little clip, um, that clearly explains it, um,
30:03 and, um, what the Santz um, has an amendment three and it to be explained and, um, so simple. This is what your tax bill looks like. There's a lot on that bill and there's a lot of confusion about potential changes. Martin County property appraiser Jenny Fields wants voters to know amendment three does not eliminate property taxes. What exactly are Floridaians being asked to vote on with amendment? See what confused people is Governor Dante said he wanted to completely eliminate property taxes. That is what he wanted to do. It was not within his power to eliminate your property taxes.
30:40 he is telling you, listen, like here's, you know, here's the best that your legislature wanted to do for you. I wanted to eliminate them. Um, so they're somewhat making fun of Governor DeSantis saying like, oh, he couldn't eliminate them for you. You know, he can't. It's unconstitutional. It's not his role. It's your role as a voter to go out and vote regarding this. Three, lower your taxable value. That's that's it. For homesteaded properties, the exemption would go from $50,000 today to 150,000 in 2027, then 250,000 in 2028, meaning less of your home's value would be taxed. But school taxes and other fees on your bill would still remain. How much you actually pay also
31:23 depends on the tax rate. Local governments set those millage rates and they can change. This amendment does not control or limit or uh put any Okay, I want to bring this up. What did she just say? Your local government millage rates. Okay, your millage rates matter. So, everybody take note of that. Millage rates. Ask your government why they're increasing the millage rates. Argue with them about it. Don't let them buy in the dark of the night just raising millage rates for no reason because they want an inflated government. restrictions on the millage rates set by the local taxing authorities and for millage rates set by the local taxing
32:02 authorities. Okay, so your local taxing authorities would be your city commissioners, your county commissioners if you're in Miami Dade County. Um sometimes it could be your city council if you're depending on how your government is structured wherever you are across the United States. Do you guys have any questions regarding that part? Well, uh, why don't you explain what that is? I think I know what that is. Isn't that the percentage of tax they can charge? Yeah. And and the increase, correct? So, but they're loading on this increase. Okay. So, they want to increase the millage on the public. Okay. So, what they've done here in Florida is they've said, "Oh,
32:44 your home value is suddenly worth double what it was when you purchased it." Is it really? Are you kidding me? So, they've done these inflated home values so that they can come along and give you and then now you have an inflated property tax bill. So, everybody was like really happy thinking that their home values were going up and we're going to sell, you know, while while the values are up, but the reality is they've used that against you. So, let's keep playing this Joan and then you'll you I think it covers a little bit more of what you're asking as well. Property without homestead exemptions like second homes, rentals, and businesses. The cap
33:23 on how much the assessed value can increase each year would drop from 10% to 5%. Field's office estimates Martin County could collect about $44 million less in the first year if Amendment Three passes. But county budget records show Martin County's property tax revenue has grown from about $215 million annually, that was 5 years ago, to more than 342 million this year. That's about $127 million more. So I asked Fields after that growth, what would a $44 million hit actually mean? That would be a great question for those taxing authorities. I don't I'm not privy to where the money goes.
34:05 Port St. Lucy could struggle to fund essential services if property tax see that that that the narrative is oh if you vote on this then your regular you're not going to get your garbage picked up. Really? What are you prioritizing with my tax money then? What are you prioritizing? Because on Miami Dade County tax bill, you got everything from a children's trust to the homeless trust to this trust to that trust to that the untrusted trusts. So it's absolutely ridiculous that that anybody would say anything but like, "Hey, let me vote for what's going to occur in my own wallet." So, in other
34:45 words, if your taxable value for your home is $250,000, you would get zero taxes um in everything but your school tax. But still, is the school tax? Are taxes even constitutional at all? According to Governor DeSantz and Lieutenant Governor Collins, you're actually renting from the government every time you're taxed on your own property. So, is that legit? Should it go away? Should it not? Or should you appeal to your value assessment board? That's the VAB. Um, so I have filed a petition for my own assessment, and I'm asking them, what gives you the authority to tax my property that I am paying for, and what have you done to evaluate it?
35:41 You can't say like for instance my property taxes went up because two one developer bought two properties in the same in my same building. So my property taxes automatically went up. My property value doubled based on one developer, one investor buying two properties in the same building. So they use those two comps to raise the entire 166 unit 166 units property tax bill. Okay. And keep in mind, not only did they raise the the the valuation quite significantly, but they also for every investment unit they were able to increase the taxes 10%. And on homestead exemption, they I believe it's 3% that that tax was able to be increased. So in other words, the
36:33 maximum allowed value um is what they did. But they can't really explain anything any further. But according to the constitution and according to federal law, they actually have to and um they actually have to do an actual assessment because you know my building for instance has a lawsuit out against the developer next door for harming our property. So, did our property value really go up um based on damages, based on a recent flood, based on um damages that occurred when a building was allowed to be built next door. So, if we all sit back and do absolutely nothing,
37:12 then guess what? Everybody's taxes go up. But if we file those petitions and say something and use our voices, let's see what happens. Um, I'm going to keep you guys posted on what actually happens because even my property tax trim notice, what's called a trim notice. And by the way, you'll notice on your trim notice it says proposed property taxes proposed. Okay? If I propose something to you, does that mean you're automatically going to take me up on it? I mean, business owners out there, do you want every proposal you put out? Because I certainly don't.
37:49 Listen, if everybody took me up on every proposal, you know, it would be a great day. But that's just not the case. Um, are you guys aware that that your tax bill actually says proposal? Like it's a proposal. Oh, I wasn't aware of that. I'll have to go back and look at it. I just got mine. Yeah, look at yours. It'll it'll most likely say it's the proposed amount. So, and it will give you instructions. are supposed to give you instructions to, you know, file um a notice to let them know that you do not agree with their proposal. You know, like do you really
38:24 agree with their proposal? Like you just want to like fork over more money for no reason for a property that maybe listen, I can understand if you renovated your property and like it was much better and maybe you put on a new roof and your valuation actually went up. In other words, you could sell for more money based on an action that you took. But for somebody just to be able to come in and control, like in other words, in my case, the one investor was able to control everybody's rates within the entire building because he wanted to buy two more properties at a very, very high rate, which is great.
39:04 Chie. Yeah, Chrissy on this whole thing and I have a whole different point of view of it is we never really own our property because of property tax because just like a mo a mortgage company, if we do not pay our taxes, the government will take our property. So, we rent from for we we pay our mortgage until it's paid off. And at that point, we're still paying rent to the government. And now the government is raising our rent over and over and over again and we never really own the property because if we miss and I've heard horror stories where someone is off just by a few hundred and they take the property because maybe the
39:45 guy got sick and didn't know and didn't see the the notices coming and boom, all of a sudden it's not his anymore. And so this is kind of this is the kind of thing that happens with this property tax. So, I'm all for moving that tax to another thing where they can't steal your home because it is it's stealing. Yeah. And um the other thing is is that they the taxi tactics they use in California. We have probably one of the poorest school systems and we collect more for education in the entire state and we are
40:24 at the bottom of education. So, how did that happen? They go, "Oh, we've got this problem. Money will solve it. We'll put it on the bill. We're going to sell bonds. You're going to vote for it because you got a lot of kids here, right?" So, they vote for it. They never get the money. The kids get a list of things that they got to bring to school because they don't provide that anymore. And um and the education isn't as good as it was when they were getting barely, you know, just a very little bit of money to run it. So uh when we have that much power in government,
41:02 government goes from a body run by the people to a scammer. Yes, they become the criminal. And I think that this is the problem that we're having right now is is that they're stealing from us. And if we just sit quiet and allow it, everything you work for will go to the government. And it's we're just about there now. I agree with you. And it and especially if you don't say anything. I mean, so we got Governor DeSantis saying, you know, listen, I've told you all I can tell you. I am telling you, you're paying rent to the government. Now, the question is, are you going to do anything about it? Are you going to
41:37 object to your property taxes? Are you going to um file a statement so or file a petition to request relief from your property taxation? Because you know what? They're telling me I owe them. Well, are you challenging them to say, "What do I owe you for? Where is the money going?" You heard even even in this video clip that I just played with a very high up um person in government. She has no idea where your property tax money is going. She said that. She said, "I don't I don't know where the money's going, but but I think I know where it's supposed to go, but I
42:18 don't see evidence that it goes there." No, they can't they can't show you where it goes. Like even on the line item, they cannot show you where your property tax money is going. Um they're getting federal grants that are often, you know, like covering different things. Um so basically, you know, you have to ask them for things like um ask them for their complete valuation worksheet model, their inputs, their calculation and evidence supporting the value in which they claim. um every sale considered or executed and verification records um that all comparable sales were by different parties because you
42:57 know that could control the outcome. um you know all the uh buildingwide and you know if if you're dealing with a building um trending or ka or mass appraisal percentage or other factors explaining um how their patterns um changed and and why they believe that we should all pay them extra and evidence showing how the condition condition of the property um the unavailable amenities or adjacent construction litigation and the alleged five-year decline were all considered in their proposal to tax you more. Um the appraisal standards that were used and practices applied were generally comparable to other Miami date county condominiums. So in other words, they
43:43 have to they have to state this, you know, in um what they are evaluating. They can't just like cough up and say, "Hey, I'm not going to um evaluate anything." So basically in my case I'm I'm invoking um several um like 194 301 um 2A 2A and three so evidence you know asking them about their practices. So like I'm at least questioning things. Um and article um seven of the Florida constitution or section four of the Florida constitution requires a just valuation. So, and sections 193.101000 and 194.301 require consideration of statutory just value factors and permit um review of the appraisers's methodology. So, you
44:35 know, that wasn't submitted with with their proposal. You know, they didn't say based on X and X and X, you know, we are proposing that you pay this. Um, so basically just challenging the assessment um that it does not comply with those standards because you know they're not able to produce it. I mean like when I've called them, they're literally genuinely not able to produce it and and you heard here like Martin County um clerks and stuff have no idea where the where the property taxes are going. So it's like they silo each individual collecting the tax. You know, if you probably ask our tax collector, you know, where did these taxes go? Can
45:14 you show me how, you know, where once I pay your your firm, where do they go within the county? Um, it would be interesting to see if, you know, they actually know where they're going within the county. You know, I used to do commercial appraisals and it was uh not unusual to have an eminent domain where the state or whoever, you know, federal would come in and do an appraisal and set the value and then the um the institution that owned it could hire independent and then go in and do an independent appraisal and then
45:49 work it out in court. So it, you know, these large businesses, sure, they know how to do that. they have the funds to do that to protect their their livelihood. But when you have um when you don't have that understanding of recourse because basically you can bring in an independent your own independent appraiser and and do that and and challenge it and then it has to be you know and they can point out the discrepancies because if you're only basing it on the two sales within the building from the same person. Mhm. And if that does not match the market around it and the market for
46:31 other buyers in that building, then you can challenge it uh you can challenge it legally. And a lot of people don't understand that like what you're saying and and because I I did that work, I understand it. So how can you give people the steps for in your like in your opinion um what they could do to challenge you know challenge these issues because if they keep continue you know because you know in my valuation our property has gone down in value because of the issues that are occurring um not up in value. I don't I don't care what an investor is willing to pay for a unit. that doesn't mean that the unit's actually that valuable. Um, it's
47:19 well, you can all Yeah. And you can all chip in and hire an appraiser, right? Uh, and choose one that is going to, you know, that has a good reputation for being honest. Mhm. Um, I had to do one for uh it was uh for a purchase up in um north of me for a rehab center. Mhm. and um they wanted to buy this building and it was going to be all cash to the owner and he was going to carry back financing. He didn't want there was no appraisal, no uh review of the property, anything. And I said, I I I
47:58 don't recommend that. So, I talked them into um a commercial appraiser. I was on the board, so it would not be me. Mhm. Um and they he went in and did an independent appraisal and they backed out of the deal because it was such a bad bad deal for them. Great for the owner. And um this is the kind of thing is that when you have that, you have a legal document now that you can fight with. If you go in and try to fight it without that, you've got nothing. You just say, "Oh, I don't like this." Well, tough because you don't have anything to prove
48:33 it's wrong. So this is where and you know when you divide it up among all of you that are affected, it's not that much per person compared to what they're going to take from you for your taxes. Yes. Correct. Exactly. Exactly. And there's also um there's also some companies that are doing this now. I'm sure like once we're playing this that the ads will start to come up um within the YouTube. I don't know any of these companies. So, um, but you know, if they're reaching out to you saying they can help lower your taxes, these are some of the things that they are doing.
49:06 Um, but you also have the right to request relief from your property taxes. So, you know, if they can't produce how they propose these and where your money is going, if they can't tell you where that your money is going, then, you know, don't believe them when they're saying, "Oh, it's going for your trash pickup. Oh, it's going for your thing." Because at the end of the day, I mean, like, you know, that's a lot. They're collecting a lot more money than they than repairs than they're doing. Um, and there's a lot of these fake trust. Um, or I say the untrusted trust.
49:42 I'm not saying that they're fake. Excuse me. Um, I'm gonna recant that one. The untrusted trust. Um, they are real trust unfortunately. And they are really charging you for them. Um, but they um I haven't seen really any of the work that they're doing. Um, I've asked for people to come forward. This trust has helped you in any way. Um, and I'm talking about everything from children's trust to the homeless trust. And yes, they, you know, hold events at at the homeless trust. But what I see is I see those trusts, you know, barely getting anything from the county or the city or if they do get anything, it's an totally
50:20 inflated amount. Like for instance, I've I've weighed some of the numbers and we're talking about, you know, 10 to$20,000 a person, you know, for a place for them to live. And I'm like, "Whoa, couldn't we get them a like much less expensive place to live than it's not going to cost$10 to $20,000 a month? Are you kidding me?" I'm like, "That's what we call like homeless and like how much it's costing us to um help each homeless person, but like look at the conditions. Are they really worth $10,000 or $20,000 or anything in between, you know? Look at the food that they're eating. Okay.
50:55 You're not you're not giving them, you know, like luxury meals every night. You know, you're you're basically housing them in places that sometimes look like jails more than um public housing. And um calling it um a homeless, you know, homeless shelter. Um and and many of them are terrible. I mean, absolutely terrible. That's, you know, a lot of the homeless won't go to the government run ones because of the uh way that they run them. Yeah. And um when uh of course I'm I'm living in California, that's the land of the train to nowhere, the bullet train to nowhere.
51:36 And and uh yeah, dumping a billion dollars into solving the homeless. And and good job. He increased it. Um, so yeah. Yeah. You you want to you we want to know where our money's going. I mean, Florida, at least you got Ronda Sanders working on your side. Here, the governor is on "[laughter] the other side. It's like, oh yeah, now we're going to tax the rich, but oh wait, a lot of them left." Our our governor, he can't even get they can't even get these documents either. So Joan, I mean, it doesn't matter who you've got in charge. Governor DeSantz, Blazing Goliath said, "Listen, we cannot get these documents. Somebody somewhere
52:17 is lying to us. Quit paying them. You know, quit paying them. Petition your government. You can file the petition. Everybody should be filing a petition. Just asking questions. And if you're Oh, yeah. I just want to say one thing. If you're paying for garbage already and you're paying for sewer and water, don't tell me that you're taking it from the property tax. Yeah, exactly. [laughter] They try to do that, Joan. They try to do that with me all the time. And I say, ""Listen, my building still has to pay for its own garbage disposal." Yes."
52:56 Every building in in Miami has to pay for its garbage disposal while residents get their garbage picked up with. You know why? because it doesn't it's it's really inexpensive to pick up the residents because there's so few of them left. So, and then you know they're they're out there picking up your garbage and there's no telling. Listen, I mean I I think it's very awkward that you live in the city of Miami, but residents you get your garbage picked up while buildings over here you got to pay for your pickup. Think about that. Is the government spying on you with their cameras on the garbage trucks? Because we all know that those are also existing
53:38 in some municipalities in the state of Florida. And how do your code enforcement officers know to come to your house based on your garbage? We have a job here in California that pays $55 an hour called lid lifters and they go around in the neighborhoods and look to make sure that you properly sorted your garbage. And if you didn't, they leave you a little nasty note which could lead to a fine if you don't start sorting your garbage right. Wow. Recyclables do regular trash. Yeah. Yeah. I remember when Rhonda Sanders first came out and talked about the tax reduction or trying to get rid of it totally. And the key word was homestead.
54:28 Now, I I've purchased the place that I live. I have a home. I don't live in a condo. Uh I have a house, but we lease the land. And in the lease, we also have water, uh garbage, landscaping, and all these things that are included. I pay close to $2,000 a month for that. And my thought was, gosh, you know, if they reduce the taxes, the property taxes, shouldn't that go down? Yes. But it doesn't I I don't know. I I doesn't look like that's going to happen. Actually, it's not going to affect it's not going
55:06 to affect your property because it's investment property. Yeah. So, it's homestead property. And that's interesting too, Terry, that you know, like when you know, you do have those properties that should be affected. Now, it it should actually go down. It should prevent. But I'm going to say this, too. Yes, we should vote, you know, in favor of reducing and and adding the extra relief for homestead exempture exemption. Mhm. Um but however, sometimes it's a little it's almost too late because you know they've already inflated the numbers so much like I mean I'm talking about my condo you know inflating it to double
55:54 what you know I paid for it. Like this investor he paid double um for two particular units and that's what's on record. And that's what's made our property tax bill go up this year. But like in past years, I mean, literally, I mean, the the valuation on property taxes on the property tax bill is much more than I paid for my property. Yeah. But I haven't done anything different to my property since the first valuation. You see what I'm saying? Since the first year of paying property taxes. I mean, I'm talking about like it's gone from um
56:32 anywhere from I want to say like originally uh was $700 the lady was paying that we purchased the property from and now it's up to over 3,000 you know. Yeah. For the same property and um much in the the same building other than your HOA has gone up and your property taxes have gone up and meanwhile services have gone down. Yeah, besides your insurance now, since all these hurricanes hit Florida the last four years, you got your insurance that's gone up. Then they require re reserves on these condos, especially you have to have reserves if you deterred from paying it in the past and that's
57:15 that's hefty. And then you've got, you know, any repairs that needed to be done. Uh, a lot of the insurance companies left the state except citizens, but uh, I think more bad. They are bad. Yeah, they're bad. But, uh, but you've got to really jump through hoops to not have to pay a lot of money and all. It's like it's terrible. Well, and the other thing is um we've also had an issue where mortgage servicesers have also um in my opinion you need to look at your mortgage statements because your mortgage serer could have falsified insuranceances. So you need to be asking for copies of any insurance policies in
57:56 which they claim were forced placed by their flood insurance policies and wind. Yeah. And wind. Correct. Yes. any forced place policies, you need to have a copy of them. Okay? Don't assume that just because your mortgage company says that you owe those. Um don't assume that they're correct. You need to ask for copies of the policies. Send them notices of errors. Um call your insurance company, ask them if they have um if they if there's even this insurance that you can get. Like in other words, they were charging me for flood insurance. My insurance uh agent said, "You can't even buy any more flood insurance. your building pays for the
58:33 flood insurance. There's a whole policy on it. And so my mortgage company was trying to say, "Oh, well, we're going to force place um insuranceances that you can't even buy. You can't even buy this extra policy, but we've we're going to claim we bought it. And by the way, guess which policy that they were claiming that they bought? The HOA policy." So, of course, I started to ask them, "Oh, really? So, you're paying the HOA now? Can you please prove to me that you paid the HOA?" And of course they could not because the HOA doesn't take money from mortgage servicesers.
59:05 That's such a croc. Listen guys, it's such a croc. I'm going to go go over my entire case. Oh my gosh. It is it is crazy the things that they have done. Yeah. And and if they're doing this to owners all over Florida, I mean, listen, I know what it's taken me to fight them to keep my own property because I've sent them notices of errors in which they never wanted to respond to and they never wanted to correct the records. They never wanted to correct. They stopped accepting payments. They claimed that, oh, well, they they they cashed the payments. They just didn't credit the payments. I shouldn't say
59:44 they they did take the payments. They just didn't credit the payments. So, it's crazy. Oh, yeah. And then they start coming up with all these fluff fees, you know, like if you start paying on your principal, it's like, "Oh, okay. Well, she's got money to pay down the principal, so let's start adding fluff fees on here because, you know, we can't make we have to make money off of this mortgage, you know, like we have to make some good money off of it, off the interest of it." So, yeah, it's it's absolutely crazy. Yeah. I I live in a resort community.
1:00:17 It's guarded and has two pools and everything. It's got everything. So, my thought is I'm wondering if the taxes will go up because of the other buildings that are on the property. It's a resort property. What do you think? That's That's an interesting dynamic. Um I'm very interested to find out more about it. Do you have uh are these HOA dues that you pay, Terry? Yeah. Well, it's included. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. I'd have to like see like the the different structure like I I know um here in Miami there was actually um an entire island that is owned by the Swire conglomerate. It's called Swire
1:00:57 Properties that um the Swire Properties owns basically I shouldn't say own but they control an entire master association for an entire island that they developed decades ago like 50 years ago. Okay, it's directly across from our seapport. Um, remember I just told you guys earlier that SWire is also the bottling company in China. They're on the They're on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. Oh, wow. They build in mainland China. Listen, you don't get to build in mainland China unless you're connected to the Chinese government. Chinese governments are going to approve that build. Okay. So, here in Miami, back in Miami, we had the
1:01:40 same company, same swire. They say same conglomerate. Again, same flag. They even fly their own flags, okay? They fly their little spire flags. They wanted to charge every building on the island a total of $33 million to replace the seaw walls on the building on the island. Okay. No. Then they told them, "You don't even own the seaw walls. You don't own the sidewalks." So, who does? So that's where I believe it's SWire working with the city and neither one of them wanting to take responsibility, but they want the people to pay. Like in other words, every single one of those condo units in every
1:02:26 single building on the island, they wanted them to come up with $33 million to pay for their crappy seaw walls. Whoa. Yeah. So yeah, there's a lawsuit out finally they filed a lawsuit. You know, listen [clears throat] I'm like, "Guys, it's easy to look at the map here and see that like the city is saying you don't even own this. They're Swire's trying to tell you that you do. So, you know, they need their building permits from the city, you know, so what's really going on here?" So, yeah. Oh, boy. Wait, let's let's put the wife Let's put the wife of Swire on a board so she can oversee this, you know, on on
1:03:10 a on a board. I mean, are you crazy? You think we're just like They think you're just absolutely stupid. Absolutely. You know, I'm going to just so that people understand how this taxing works. I was on a contract with the board of equalization here in California and I I went to work one day and the only people there were us contractors. So when after a couple hours everybody showed up and they said, "Where were you?" Well, Governor Brown called us all into his office and queued us all out for an hour because we weren't making the changes to the system fast enough to
1:03:53 double the registration fee on automobiles which had been passed. So, wow. Basically, the board of equalization almost every project they were working on was another approved tax. I was working on one for um prepaid phones to give you an idea and that was to implement the tax on prepaid phones and there were others for tobacco and whatever you know anything like that. It was easy to get the population to vote for a tax on that kind of stuff and so they just keep running ads for that taxing over and over and over again till a pack of cigarettes cost so much that who could afford it, you know?
1:04:36 Um, and it's more tax than it is cigarette. And And because they don't think it's going to affect them, but it does. Yeah. Everything does. Yeah. Everything affects tax- wise. Everything affects affects you. Um, the one thing that's supposed to be taxed is is the items coming through our border. We know that. Um, your labor really is not supposed to be taxed. You're not really supposed to be having to pay the IRS. um based on, you know, their own code. Um they can't explain themselves either, you know, like unless you're working in DC. Um so, listen, I'm not an IRS agent. I'm not connected to them. I just tell you like, listen, just read
1:05:20 the code yourself. I mean, see if you're if you qualify or if you have to pay that, you know, don't just assume that like, oh, I'm going to CPA, so they know. Well, that's not necessarily true. I mean, they they you know, pretty much a lot of these people are working for the government themselves, you know, helping they're serving as tax collectors themselves. You know, they even have to take, you know, an oath when they're, you know, becoming a CPA that they will direct you to pay your taxes. Like, it's like you can't even make this stuff up, you know?
1:05:55 Like, so really, do you do you think that they're going to tell you the truth? I mean, I don't know. Listen everybody, you have to you have to read the documents, read the fine print. Um, you know, ask AI, put the put the documents in AI, ask it to help you. Believe it or not, I think that's one of the the scare t one of the reasons they have scare tactics, you know, against AI as well because AI will probably tell you, hey, you know what? You could actually challenge this because, you know, the Florida Constitution says this while they're over here saying this, so you need to be asking for X. you know. So there you go.
1:06:31 Well, that that makes the government afraid of AI then, doesn't it? Yeah, it does. Yeah, that's what I'm saying. So, just like they're afraid that you're um not going to Okay, guys. I'm sorry to have to leave you. I have a meeting. Oh, no problem. We're at the end anyway. Christi Tasker, can you tell people where they can find you?
