Help Us Report Stories That Matter

Patriots Perspective, a division of Discern Media Group, welcomes information from members of the public that may assist our newsroom in reporting on matters of legitimate public interest.

Many important investigations begin with a concerned citizen, public employee, business owner, community leader, or eyewitness willing to share information.

If you have information you believe is newsworthy, we encourage you to contact our newsroom.

What You Can Submit

We welcome submissions relating to matters of public interest, including:

Accuracy Matters

Please provide information that you reasonably believe to be accurate.

If you are uncertain about any aspect of your submission, let us know what you know firsthand and what information comes from other sources.

Distinguishing between direct knowledge and secondhand information helps our journalists evaluate potential stories.

Anonymous Sources

You may request that your identity remain confidential.

When evaluating such requests, we consider factors including:

2. Potential risks to the source.

3. The availability of independent verification.

4. Applicable legal obligations.

While we take reasonable measures to safeguard source information, we cannot promise absolute confidentiality under every circumstance. We may be required to comply with lawful court orders or other legal obligations.

Verification Process

Every submission is evaluated independently.

Receiving a submission does not mean:

1. We have verified the information.

2. We agree with the information.

3. We will publish a story.

4. We will contact the individuals involved.

5. We will pursue an investigation.

Our editorial team may conduct additional reporting before deciding whether and how to proceed.

Editorial Independence

All editorial decisions remain solely within the discretion of Patriots Perspective.

Submission of information does not create an obligation to:

1. Publish a story.

2. Conduct an investigation.

3. Continue reporting.

4. Share investigative findings.

5. Return submitted materials.

6. Provide updates regarding editorial decisions.

We strongly encourage submission of publicly available records whenever possible.

Confidential Information

Photos, Video, and Audio

If you submit multimedia materials, please include, when available:

2. General location

3. Description of what is depicted

4. Whether you created the material

5. Whether anyone else owns rights to the material

6. Any edits or enhancements made before submission

This information assists us in authenticating and evaluating submitted media.

Ownership of Submitted Materials

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, you retain ownership of your original materials.

By voluntarily submitting materials for editorial review, you authorize Patriots Perspective to review, evaluate, and use the materials as necessary in connection with news gathering, verification, reporting, publication, archival purposes, and related editorial activities, subject to applicable law and any separate written agreement.

Where appropriate, we may request additional permission before publishing certain materials.

Communications With Sources

Our journalists may contact you to:

No Compensation

Submission of a news tip does not create an employment relationship or entitle the submitter to compensation.

Any separate licensing, freelance, or contributor arrangements will be governed by a separate written agreement.

If you believe disclosure of your identity could place you at risk, please inform us in your initial communication.

Avoid using devices, networks, or email accounts that may compromise your privacy if your situation requires heightened confidentiality.
