Former Green Beret John Frankman joins Christi Tasker to discuss faith, veterans’ services, military vaccine mandates and congressional accountability.
Host
Government gangster disruptor and propaganda destroyer. Award-winning tech exec, designer and journalist. Proud Glamma Gaga.
What happens when a service member’s convictions collide with military policy? For John Frankman, that question became the turning point between a career in Special Forces and a campaign for Congress.
In this Patriots Perspective interview, former Green Beret John Frankman joins Christi Tasker to discuss his military background, his opposition to the COVID-19 vaccine mandate, and why he sought to represent Florida’s 1st Congressional District. Their conversation connects a personal story of faith and service with questions about veterans’ care, political independence, and accountability at the Pentagon.
This archived interview reflects the campaign and policy discussions at the time of recording. The article summarizes Frankman’s account and positions; it does not report a current election outcome.
Frankman describes an unusual path into public life. Before joining the Army, he spent four years studying in a Catholic seminary. He says he later discerned a different calling and became an infantry officer, completed Ranger School, and served as a Green Beret.
Faith remained central to his decisions. Frankman says his religious convictions led him to refuse the COVID-19 vaccine and that the mandate cost him deployments, professional opportunities, and ultimately his military career. In his telling, leaving the Army did not end his commitment to service. It redirected that commitment toward advocating for other service members and their families.
Tasker asks what veterans could expect from a congressional office led by Frankman. His answer centers on staffing and constituent assistance: he proposes hiring multiple veterans who understand military life and can help people navigate VA issues.
He also discusses working with military installations and pursuing a VA hospital for the area. Rather than treating veteran status as a campaign credential alone, Frankman argues that it should influence how an office operates and which problems it makes a priority.
His connection to northwest Florida is personal. He recalls arriving for military training and later choosing to make the area his home. The interview explores the community ties that develop when service members remain in a place after their assignments end.
One of the interview’s central arguments concerns the relationship between Congress and the Department of Defense. Frankman rejects the idea that congressional involvement should amount to approving whatever funding military leaders request. He argues that civilian oversight must also protect the people serving under those leaders.
For Frankman, this connects directly to the vaccine mandate. He says service members can have limited options when their chain of command applies pressure, and he wants elected representatives to scrutinize decisions that affect their careers and families.
The discussion also turns to independence within the Republican Party. Frankman says he would follow his convictions even when doing so created friction with party leadership. He connects that pledge to his experience accepting personal costs for a decision he believed was right.
Near the end of the conversation, Frankman challenges the suggestion that reinstatement policies had resolved the consequences of the mandate. He describes barriers involving bureaucracy, eligibility, and back-pay calculations, and argues that restoring trust requires accountability as well as an invitation to return.
These are Frankman’s assessments in the interview. His figures and descriptions of policy should be checked against the applicable Defense Department documents before being used as current statistics or guidance. The broader question he raises is clear: what would a meaningful remedy look like for someone whose military career was interrupted?

[1:18] Hello everyone. Welcome back to Patriots
[1:20] Perspective. I am your chief
[1:24] propagandist dissector here. And today I
[1:28] have an amazing man with me, John
[1:31] Frankman. John Frankman is a Green
[1:35] Beret, which is our special forces for
[1:37] those of you who don’t know and who are
[1:39] not very familiar with our military. Um
[1:41] because I find John that a lot of people
[1:43] are not. They want our military to
[1:45] protect them and they want these
[1:46] American values but they’ve moved here
[1:48] from third world countries. They have
[1:50] zero idea how to stay free. And matter
[1:52] of fact, they’re believing the same
[1:53] propaganda being produced that were
[1:55] produced back in their own countries.
[1:57] And I feel like sometimes I’m the only
[1:59] one who’s calling it out other than you
[2:01] yourself, John, which that’s the reason
[2:03] I have you on here today. I’m so
[2:05] thankful for you to be here because you
[2:08] have a story beyond all stories. Can you
[2:10] start off with telling us number one
[2:12] about why and how people should listen
[2:15] to you and what you’ve done to protect
[2:17] Americans already and especially our
[2:20] military.
[2:21] >> Yeah, absolutely. I’m John Frankman. I’m
[2:23] a fighter for faith and freedom. I’m
[2:24] running for Congress in Florida’s first
[2:25] congressional district. But my journey
[2:27] to Congress or journey to uh to running
[2:29] for Congress has been anything but
[2:31] ordinary. It’s been God’s providence
[2:32] that brought me here. I spent four years
[2:34] studying in the seminary to be a
[2:36] Catholic priest. After that, uh
[2:37] discerned it wasn’t God’s will. went
[2:39] into the army as a infantry officer,
[2:41] Ranger school, then a special forces
[2:43] green beret. And it was when the co shot
[2:45] was coming out that I said I’m not going
[2:47] to do it on religious principles, the
[2:49] use of aborted fuel cells. I just knew
[2:51] that’s something I couldn’t be a part
[2:52] of. After being forced out of the army
[2:54] for not getting the co shot, I lost
[2:56] that, you know, I lost them in
[2:57] deployments, teen time, job
[2:58] opportunities, I got politically
[3:00] involved, or rather politics got
[3:01] involved in me. And I saw that God had
[3:03] put me on a mission to advocate for our
[3:04] service members, for our veterans, for
[3:06] their families, for those who were
[3:07] negatively impacted by the shot mandate.
[3:10] And in that process, I learned that
[3:12] Congress is broken. You know,
[3:13] Republicans, they had the majority in
[3:15] 2022, but they didn’t do anything with
[3:16] it. And they could have done more with
[3:18] it. And now they have the majority right
[3:20] now. Um, even we have the House, the
[3:22] Senate, and the Presidency, but they’re
[3:23] getting nothing done. We have no lasting
[3:25] changes. Um, they’re just pretending to
[3:28] do whatever in order to keep their
[3:30] seats. Um, and that’s why I’m running
[3:32] for Congress right now. So, if you want
[3:33] to listen to me, it’s just for the faith
[3:35] formation. It’s for what I’ve done
[3:36] already to fight for the 100,000 service
[3:39] members who were forced out of the army
[3:41] to get them back into the military. Um,
[3:43] so those are some of the reasons.
[3:45] >> Yep, John. And that’s one of the reasons
[3:46] I first found you um a while back when
[3:49] you were running um in the same seat
[3:51] that you’re running for now, which I
[3:53] admire that you were in it. You were in
[3:55] it to win it. And um you’re back in it
[3:58] again because um as we well know, our
[4:00] army and our Green Berets, they will not
[4:02] be forced out um based on a one-time hit
[4:07] or a one-time wonder. And and in the
[4:09] case of your election before, the person
[4:11] in the seat right now is not even living
[4:14] in the district. I mean, which I find
[4:16] just appalling. I mean, I I find that
[4:19] it’s appalling that we can run for seats
[4:21] that in a district that we don’t already
[4:23] live in. So, can you tell us a little
[4:24] bit about that?
[4:25] >> Yeah, absolutely. So, uh when I ran the
[4:27] last time, um I was in the race and you
[4:30] know, we love President Trump. We’re
[4:31] grateful that he’s the president
[4:32] sometimes the endorsements he makes and
[4:34] you know, he can’t screen everybody. He
[4:35] can’t screen every representative, every
[4:37] senator, every gubernatorial candidate,
[4:39] etc. So, the decision was made early on
[4:43] uh via whatever proxies to endorse this
[4:45] guy who doesn’t live in the district.
[4:46] Fine. You know, I stepped out. Didn’t
[4:48] want to get in the way of Trump’s
[4:50] agenda. Was hopeful. Um but, you know,
[4:52] since then hasn’t had any in-person town
[4:54] halls. Um doesn’t really understand the
[4:57] district is not a veteran. In fact,
[4:58] didn’t hire a veteran on his staff until
[5:00] I challenged him in the primary. And
[5:03] yeah, we just don’t really see him
[5:04] around here. And kids just graduated
[5:06] from school there in Panama City. Hey,
[5:08] whatever. But if you’re going to
[5:10] represent an area, you know, it’s called
[5:11] representative and you should be from
[5:13] the area or living in the area at least
[5:15] where where you’re representing. And if
[5:17] you’re just running a place, so I made a
[5:19] joke video endorsing him for
[5:20] congressional district 2. And in that
[5:23] video, I said it’s a better fit for him
[5:25] because unlike uh CD1, which I’m running
[5:27] for, CD2 is not as veteran densely
[5:30] populated. So, it’s better to be
[5:31] represented by a non- veteran. And
[5:34] another distinction I made was that
[5:36] district 2 is as conservative. So, it’s
[5:38] better for a moderate Republican focused
[5:39] on keeping Mike Johnson happy rather
[5:41] than actually fighting for conservative
[5:43] values like we had Matt Gates before.
[5:44] And then finally, CD2 has Tallahassee,
[5:47] so it’s good for a career establishment
[5:48] politician. So, I’m the better fighter
[5:51] for District 1. District 2, which is
[5:53] open now, now that Neil Dunn is stepping
[5:54] down, is where he should be running.
[5:57] >> Okay, that’s interesting. So, it’s open
[5:58] and he’s still sitting in the seat where
[6:01] he does not live. That’s even more
[6:02] interesting. Um, so John, that leads me
[6:04] to believe, you know, people sometimes
[6:06] want to call me a conspiracy theorist. I
[6:08] say, well, you know, it’ll there’s news,
[6:10] but you can have it here early, right
[6:12] here and right now. Um, but it is my
[6:14] belief that a lot of times they’re here
[6:16] to occupy certain seats to keep people
[6:18] like you out of them because they know
[6:21] that you will be in, as much as you
[6:23] might love President Trump and love
[6:25] Republicans, you will be challenging
[6:27] people on what is right. And what I’ve
[6:31] learned about our veterans running for
[6:33] office is a lot of times you guys don’t
[6:35] look the other way. You don’t you don’t
[6:37] go along to get along. Um you’ve already
[6:39] lived on a modest salary um being in the
[6:42] military itself. Can you talk about that
[6:44] feel about that as a veteran and as a
[6:46] Green Beret? Yeah, and I mean I think
[6:48] what you pointed to is absolutely right
[6:50] that um you know we had Matt Gates in
[6:52] the seat before and I think the main
[6:53] concern they had is they didn’t want a
[6:55] fire brand like him who was going to
[6:56] make it difficult for uh the house
[6:59] speaker to just go along and and keep
[7:00] the uni party going. Uh they wanted
[7:02] someone who they could control and this
[7:04] is somebody who can they can control
[7:06] who’s not going to bite the hand that
[7:07] feeds them which is the establishment.
[7:09] Um so I think that’s exactly why and
[7:10] they know with me that I was a green
[7:12] gray who was forced out for not getting
[7:13] the co shot. So, however you feel about
[7:15] that, that shows a little bit of um of
[7:18] of prudence, of wisdom, of being able to
[7:21] go against the grain even at per great
[7:22] personal sacrifice. And that’s exactly
[7:24] what I would do in Congress. I would do
[7:26] the right thing, follow principle,
[7:28] follow my own moral uh convictions. And
[7:30] I would do that up there e even if it’s
[7:32] upsetting to the majority or to uh this
[7:35] leadership. But in the military, yeah,
[7:37] you don’t make a ton of money. you make
[7:38] a good means. But if you’re qualified,
[7:40] if you’re able to be a special operator,
[7:42] I mean, we have IQ tests, physical
[7:44] aptitude tests, language aptitude tests,
[7:47] uh IQ test, everything of that nature in
[7:49] order to just get into uh the training,
[7:52] in order to start the training. Um, so
[7:54] you could certainly go off and do
[7:56] whatever, but it’s for love of country,
[7:58] uh, that you risk your life, that you
[7:59] jump out of planes a bunch of times,
[8:01] that you carry more weight than is, you
[8:03] know, reasonable and your body gets
[8:04] broken later on, uh, that you sleep on
[8:06] rocks and go hungry and ranger school
[8:09] and things of that nature. Uh, it’s
[8:10] certainly not for comfort. It’s
[8:12] certainly not to make as much money as
[8:13] you can. Um, so for me, going up to DC,
[8:16] it’s it’s not a get-rich scheme. I
[8:19] signed that I’m not gonna inside trade
[8:20] or not going to trade stocks at all.
[8:22] just find one mutual fund, whatever. Um,
[8:24] but it’s unfortunate that Congress can
[8:26] tend to attract uh so many people for
[8:28] the wrong reasons.
[8:30] >> Yeah. And speaking of the IQ test and
[8:33] everything, I always find it very odd
[8:34] that when any kind of veterans running
[8:36] for office, especially, you know, if
[8:38] you’ve made it to Green Bray special
[8:40] forces, I find that a lot of dirt is
[8:42] thrown your way. And you you’ve been
[8:46] tested as some of the most intellectual,
[8:49] you know, high beings out there, human
[8:52] beings. And then you know why do you
[8:57] think you know these other candidates
[8:59] are constantly throwing dirt against the
[9:02] very people like yourselves that have
[9:04] protected us that a war that have um
[9:07] that have signed up for a duty um in
[9:11] which you agreed to take such a low I
[9:14] mean no no offense but nobody in our
[9:16] military is making a lot of money right
[9:19] unless you’re like really high up and
[9:21] even you know have outside dealings. But
[9:24] when it comes to these positions, um can
[9:27] you explain why, you know, why some
[9:30] people are completely against um you
[9:32] know, any kind of veteran being in
[9:34] office and usually who those people are?
[9:36] >> Yeah, I mean obviously Democrats are
[9:40] pretty much they’re trying to find
[9:41] veterans to to get to run, but that’s so
[9:43] hard for them because uh you know, kind
[9:45] of being in the military, military
[9:47] service is almost antithetical to what
[9:49] Democrats stand for. They hate the
[9:50] country. We see where Democrat
[9:52] socialists are going. Uh they just want
[9:54] to completely tear it apart, make it
[9:55] communist, get rid of, you know, pack
[9:56] the courts, get rid of the executive and
[9:59] get rid of the Senate, etc. But um you
[10:01] know, folks who don’t want veterans to
[10:03] run, uh I mean, I think there might be a
[10:05] little bit of a jealousy for some folks
[10:07] who didn’t do it, but the thing is that
[10:09] everybody had the opportunity to sign
[10:10] up, everybody had the opportunity to
[10:12] serve. Um so
[10:15] >> yeah.
[10:15] >> Yeah. even if they’re coming into this
[10:17] country um from other countries. I mean,
[10:19] there is a a service level that they’re
[10:22] supposed to sign up for saying that they
[10:24] will take up arms for our country. I
[10:26] mean, if you look at like an N400 form
[10:28] for citizenship, it clearly says that
[10:30] they’re supposed to be taking up arms
[10:32] for the United States of America. Um,
[10:34] but yet we have so many registered
[10:37] foreign agents or FAR agents for those
[10:39] of you out there who want to uh I mean
[10:42] and I find a lot of times there’s FAR
[10:44] agents behind almost every campaign that
[10:48] attacks a veteran and and I find it
[10:50] shocking shocking that you know some of
[10:53] them are in our government some of them
[10:55] are you know in executive branches as a
[10:58] whole um without being registered to
[11:01] begin with. And the in interesting thing
[11:04] too in the state of Florida specifically
[11:06] um we’ve had registered foreign agents
[11:08] who have actually um you know spoken for
[11:11] many of our politicians and um who have
[11:14] failed to register until the DOJ
[11:16] actually came after them. So John, what
[11:18] will you do to make sure that you’re
[11:20] hiring veterans and that you’re putting
[11:23] veterans and their initiatives first and
[11:25] even their families first? Yeah. I mean,
[11:27] what I can make sure that I’m doing is
[11:29] just my track record that I was
[11:31] advocating for veterans for years before
[11:34] I ever ran for office. I got out of the
[11:35] military and I didn’t get paid to do it,
[11:37] but I went up to DC. I advocated for
[11:38] them on the hill. I did interviews. I
[11:41] wrote opeds and I bit pretty much
[11:42] forewent um any kind of serious job the
[11:44] first, you know, year, couple years
[11:46] after getting out of the military
[11:47] because I felt God put it on my heart to
[11:49] take care of them. Um and one thing I’m
[11:51] campaigning on is hiring veterans and
[11:53] staffers in the office. That’s something
[11:54] that this current congressman didn’t do
[11:56] until I challenged him. Now you see
[11:57] billboards all over his face of, oh,
[11:59] this guy helps with veterans VA issues.
[12:01] Well, guess what? I have a bunch of them
[12:02] reaching out to me who I’ve been able to
[12:04] get help uh that you weren’t able to
[12:05] help. So, my goal is to have multiple
[12:07] veterans in staff in the district so
[12:09] that they can one lease with the five
[12:11] military bases that we have and then
[12:13] help the most veteran densely populated
[12:15] district in the country. We have nearly
[12:17] 90,000 100,000 veterans in this district
[12:19] more than anywhere else. help them get
[12:20] the VA help that they need uh and really
[12:23] fight to get that VA hospital. Um so I
[12:25] can absolutely ensure that’s that’s the
[12:27] case that’s going to happen.
[12:28] >> That would be great. I know a lot of
[12:29] veterans are are going to be to hear
[12:31] about that. John, tell us a little
[12:34] district. Tell us about the location. I
[12:37] know you said Panama City. What other
[12:39] cities are in in your district so that
[12:41] people know what to look out for, who to
[12:43] contact, you know, when they hear this
[12:45] interview. I want everybody, you know,
[12:47] listen, no matter which state you’re in,
[12:49] you probably know somebody that lives in
[12:51] in this area that John is talking about.
[12:53] Um, and I know that your campaign is
[12:55] very grassroots. Um, and that you are
[12:58] not, you know, one of the ones who are
[13:00] getting a ton of donations, um, from
[13:02] these high level, um, techno groups. Um,
[13:06] and, um, so tell us a little bit about
[13:08] that.
[13:08] >> Yeah, absolutely. And, and Panama City
[13:10] is actually outside the district. That’s
[13:12] where the current representative uh is
[13:14] from, lives, has built his life. So, um
[13:17] our district, it’s uh it’s Florida’s
[13:19] first congressional district. It is the
[13:21] furthest northwest you can go in
[13:22] Florida. So, it has Pensacola, Dest uh
[13:26] it has Freeport, uh it’s Escambia
[13:29] County, Santa Rosa County, Okaloosa, and
[13:31] then half of Walton County. Um and
[13:33] what’s special about the district is
[13:35] it’s on the it’s on the Gulf of America.
[13:38] has the most veterans in any district,
[13:39] the most veteran densely populated
[13:40] district of the country. We have five
[13:42] major military bases. So if you know
[13:44] anybody, anyone who starts their naval
[13:46] or marine aviation goes to NAS
[13:48] Pensacola. We have Whiting Field where
[13:50] we have a lot of uh flight training that
[13:52] takes place there. Corey Station, we
[13:54] have Herbert Field, which is the home of
[13:56] Air Force Special Operations. We have
[13:57] Eglund Air Force Base. Uh we have the
[13:59] biggest testing range near us on the uh
[14:02] Eastern Gulf testing range. Uh, and
[14:04] underneath Egglund was seven special
[14:06] forces group where I was assigned and
[14:07] there was six Ranger training battalion
[14:08] which is where I went and finished up
[14:10] Ranger school and you also have the EOD
[14:12] school. So, and when you think about
[14:14] Florida’s first congressional district,
[14:15] you know, there’s it’s it’s Florida,
[14:17] it’s south of Alabama, it’s central
[14:19] standard time zone. Uh, but just let
[14:21] everybody you know um pass it on, share
[14:23] it on social media. Even if they you
[14:25] don’t know anyone specifically lives
[14:26] there, it’s going to keep passing
[14:27] around. And yeah, this is a grassroots
[14:29] fight. Um, I’m fighting because I’m one
[14:31] of the people who live there. I’m one of
[14:33] the veterans who loves the area, chose
[14:34] to stay there. Uh, so yeah, get out the
[14:37] word and sport.
[14:38] >> So, John, were you raised in that area
[14:40] or like what brought you to the area
[14:42] originally?
[14:43] >> The Well, originally I was brought there
[14:44] because of Ranger School and that wasn’t
[14:46] the most pleasant experience, but hey,
[14:48] we got through it. We made it. Um, you
[14:50] know, you’re going through the swamps,
[14:52] you’re 10 days without a shower and
[14:54] sleeping on all kinds of rocks and awful
[14:56] things, but hey, that was, you know, um,
[14:58] >> you don’t return to it. That’s a big
[15:00] deal.
[15:01] >> Yeah. And when I was there in miserable,
[15:02] I they have seventh group. They do uh
[15:05] there are freef fall jumps, there are
[15:06] static line jumps on the airfield, the
[15:08] drop zone, which is where Ranger School
[15:10] is located. So I remember seeing the
[15:11] Green Brays there thinking, man, these
[15:13] guys are cool. Uh and then maybe one day
[15:15] I’ll be one of them. And then hey, you
[15:17] come back in 2020. What brought me here
[15:19] was the military. Um I was raised all
[15:21] over the place. My stepdad was military,
[15:23] parents divorced, but this is the
[15:25] longest I ever lived in one place. And
[15:26] this is where I’ve chosen to make my
[15:28] home. Um, and this area is so blessed
[15:31] because you have tens of thousands of
[15:33] vets who aren’t from here, but they get
[15:35] stationed here and they love it. And
[15:36] they love the strong Christian values.
[15:38] They love the strong military community.
[15:41] And it’s just, God bless this place
[15:43] immensely. It’s so conservative, the
[15:45] most conservative district in Florida.
[15:46] Um, you know, it’s just a shame when it
[15:49] uh gets wasted by a more moderate
[15:51] establishment or Republican who’s more
[15:53] uh more curious or more wants to keep
[15:56] leadership happy than actually, you
[15:58] know, fight for conservative values and
[15:59] move the party further right. So, you
[16:00] know, love the place. It’s my home. Want
[16:02] to try to fight for it.
[16:04] >> Yeah. Thank you, John. So, one of the
[16:06] things that um I always see them
[16:08] attacking veterans running for office on
[16:10] that I’d like to cover, John, is um you
[16:13] guys actually your voting records.
[16:15] They’ll say, “Oh, he didn’t vote here.
[16:17] He hasn’t voted here.” Um, can you
[16:19] explain what our mailin ballots or um
[16:24] any kind of absentee ballot is actually
[16:27] for? What it was designed for?
[16:29] >> Yeah. It’s for people who are in the
[16:30] military. If you’re registered to vote
[16:33] where you’re born, where you’re from,
[16:35] but you’re stationed in Germany, you’re
[16:37] stationed in another state, and you
[16:38] don’t want to change your state of
[16:39] residence, you can you can uh request a
[16:41] mail and ballot. And I’ve been pretty
[16:42] faithful about doing that. I think since
[16:44] as old as I can remember that I voted.
[16:46] Uh I remember receiving them in
[16:48] different states getting early, doing a
[16:49] little bit of research and sending them
[16:51] back in. Um but yeah, I mean I’ve voted
[16:53] in every election since getting
[16:54] stationer in 2020 and uh I don’t know
[16:57] been a Republican the whole time since
[16:59] turning 18. So that’s a weird that would
[17:01] be a weird thing uh to attack me on and
[17:04] how conservative I am, especially after
[17:06] one I spent four years in Catholic
[17:08] seminary, you know, very religious, very
[17:10] socially conservative, and then I didn’t
[17:12] get the co shot. I think that’s uh more
[17:14] conservative than maybe uh you know, all
[17:17] of the MAGA bases, but yeah.
[17:19] >> Right. Exactly. And and that’s what I’ve
[17:22] always appreciated you for, John, is
[17:23] that you didn’t take the shot. You
[17:25] didn’t just bow to whatever Dr. Fraud
[17:28] says. So that’s that’s when you first
[17:29] started to get my attention is when I
[17:31] was um doing the Dr. Fraudi
[17:33] investigation with James O’Keefe and
[17:35] confirming for sure 100% even the people
[17:38] who were running the tests and
[17:40] everything for Dr. Fraudi even called
[17:43] him a fraud. Um matter of fact is kind
[17:46] of an easy investigation to do because
[17:49] the even the people who are running the
[17:51] test for the NIH and for Dr. fraud. She
[17:55] claims that he is absolutely a fraud
[17:57] politician who’s never practiced any
[18:00] kind of anything, but yet he wanted to
[18:02] jab everything into our our military,
[18:05] which just tease me off. I mean, listen,
[18:07] I’ve come from a military background um
[18:09] family, and um there’s nothing that
[18:12] makes me matter than somebody trying to
[18:14] tell not only military, but Americans
[18:16] what they have to do um and try to
[18:19] silence them in the process. So, thank
[18:22] you for Thank you. standing up there.
[18:24] So, John, what um should veterans know
[18:27] and why would you like the endorsement
[18:29] for veterans for America First?
[18:32] >> I mean, what veterans should know is my
[18:33] number one priority is military veterans
[18:35] in this district. We have five major
[18:39] strategic military bases in the
[18:40] district. So, it deserves a veteran who
[18:42] understands the hardships, the
[18:44] difficulties military veterans, their
[18:45] families go through. And it has more,
[18:47] it’s the most veteran densely populated
[18:48] district within the country. Um, so the
[18:51] reason I would want Veterans for America
[18:52] First’s endorsement, um, is just as an
[18:55] affirmation that they understand and
[18:57] they recognize that, hey, I’ve been
[18:58] advocating for veterans for far longer
[19:00] than I’ve ever run for office, years
[19:03] before any political aspirations. I put
[19:05] my career on the line advocating for
[19:06] veterans. I told my detachment I would
[19:08] not punish them or reward them based on
[19:09] whether they get the shot, but tried to
[19:11] protect their own medical rights uh, and
[19:13] their own careers and livelihoods while
[19:15] in the military. Um, but I think that
[19:18] that would be a nice sign for veterans
[19:20] to just point them in the right
[19:21] direction to let them know, hey, you
[19:23] have an advocate, you have a champion. I
[19:25] often tell service members who are
[19:26] currently in that if I had to have
[19:28] another yard sign, another motto for
[19:30] military, it would be for the boys. And
[19:32] everybody understands that when they
[19:33] say, “This guy’s for the boys. That
[19:34] guy’s for the boys.” Um, and there’s a
[19:36] misunderstanding about what congressmen
[19:38] are supposed to do on the House Armed
[19:40] Service Committee. A lot of people think
[19:41] that they’re there to just write blank
[19:43] checks to the Department of Defense to
[19:45] give them whatever the generals are
[19:46] asking them, whatever the admirals are
[19:47] asking them, and just give the Pentagon
[19:49] whatever money they want. And but
[19:52] really, they are the civilian leadership
[19:54] over the Department of Defense. We are a
[19:56] nation where, you know, it’s of the
[19:58] people, by the people, for the people.
[19:59] They work for the civilians. And as a
[20:01] representative, you are the closest to
[20:02] the people. And as being the person
[20:04] closest to the military, closest to the
[20:06] veterans, and someone who’s been screwed
[20:08] over by the military, screwed over by
[20:09] the government, I will bring the hammer
[20:11] on these generals, on these admirals,
[20:13] whenever they step out of line and
[20:14] affect the lives of their service
[20:16] members. Whenever they become
[20:17] cowardless, morally weak ladder
[20:19] climbers, I will bring it down on them
[20:21] because there’s only so much a service
[20:23] member can do when their leadership and
[20:25] their chain of command is pressured and
[20:27] doing something um that is just totally
[20:30] unlawful or problematic. So, if you want
[20:32] a fighter for veterans, that is why you
[20:34] should vote for me. That is why you
[20:35] should support me. Tell your other
[20:37] veteran buddies to support me. Um, and
[20:39] you know, we have such a short small
[20:42] percentage of the military uh of of the
[20:44] US population that serves, but this is
[20:46] the greatest concentration of veterans.
[20:48] So, if there’s any district that
[20:49] deserves a veteran and a fighter who’s
[20:51] fought for veterans to represent it, it
[20:52] is Florida’s first congressional
[20:53] district.
[20:54] John, can you tell people about when
[20:56] your election is, how many people that
[20:58] they put in the pot to run against you
[21:00] in hopes to divide the vote away from
[21:02] you?
[21:02] >> Yeah, so the election is August 18th.
[21:05] Um, we have early voting before then.
[21:07] Um, but yeah, that’s interesting. I’m
[21:09] challenging an incumbent and
[21:11] surprisingly uh maybe not so much. One
[21:13] month later, we get another veteran who
[21:15] jumps in who has no history of being
[21:18] involved whatsoever. uh who I’ve know
[21:21] dozens of people have come talked to
[21:23] him, talked to him about dropping out,
[21:24] supporting me. I’ve tried to approach
[21:25] the individual. So, it seems that I was
[21:28] enough of a threat for uh this
[21:30] establishment individual I was
[21:32] challenging that they threw another guy
[21:33] in there. So, it’s myself and it’s two
[21:35] others uh middle of the ballot Frankman.
[21:38] Um but hey, you don’t you don’t realize
[21:41] how deep the swamp is or how hard the
[21:43] fight is until you’re in it. But, you
[21:44] know, I’m a man of faith. Uh I’ve read
[21:46] David versus Goliath. I think this is a
[21:48] David versus Goliath fight and with
[21:51] God’s grace, with the support of other
[21:53] godly people who want to step in, who
[21:55] want to help out and spread the word. Uh
[21:56] we can absolutely win this fight and we
[21:58] can absolutely start taking this country
[22:00] back one by one because even though we
[22:02] have the majority in the House and the
[22:03] Senate, nothing’s getting done. The
[22:05] current leadership, the current
[22:06] congressman we have right now, we will
[22:08] never save our country that way. So if
[22:09] we want to last another 250 years, we
[22:12] need to get real serious about the
[22:13] problems our country is facing.
[22:15] >> Yeah. Because I I’ll tell you the two
[22:18] representatives that I have in Miami
[22:20] Dade County, they are both from third
[22:21] world countries. I mean, so this is
[22:23] serious. Yeah. This is they they are
[22:26] elected, but they’re both from third
[22:27] world countries. So, we cannot expect um
[22:31] people from third world countries to
[22:33] actually uphold our American values. I
[22:36] mean, listen, you know, I know our
[22:37] father founding fathers knew that there
[22:39] were going to be people in office from
[22:40] other countries, but I cannot imagine
[22:42] them being okay with, you know, us
[22:46] having people directly from communist
[22:48] countries and even sometimes even going
[22:50] back there um and and really not
[22:53] speaking against communism until they’re
[22:55] absolutely forced to. And um and I’ll
[22:58] tell you, they did the opposite of what
[22:59] you did during COVID. um they shut their
[23:02] counties down, they shut their districts
[23:04] down, uh they’re they’re these people
[23:06] are booed off the stage at Trump events.
[23:09] And um this is a serious fight that
[23:11] we’re in. And a lot of times President
[23:13] it people will ask me, well, why would
[23:15] you go against President Trump’s
[23:16] endorsement? Why would you advocate for
[23:18] um for a politician against President
[23:20] Trump’s endorsement? because President
[23:22] Trump often has to work with these
[23:24] people that are already in office to get
[23:26] things like the Save America Act passed
[23:28] because otherwise they just start to go
[23:30] directly against him and everything and
[23:32] in his agenda and he gets absolutely
[23:33] nothing done. So, President Trump has
[23:36] never called me out and said, “Hey,
[23:37] don’t um don’t use my name and my image
[23:41] and you know endorse against another
[23:44] candidate.” He’s never done that for
[23:45] Veterans for America First even. Um they
[23:48] have recently gone against one of his
[23:50] endorsements, a pretty large one when uh
[23:52] Veterans for America first endorsed um
[23:55] Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins over
[23:57] Byron Donald’s who in Lieutenant
[23:59] Governor Jay Collins is also Green Bay
[24:02] um I might add and you know that is a
[24:04] big one and and you know President Trump
[24:07] would more than welcome any of you in
[24:10] but at the same time
[24:12] the people to actually go out and vote
[24:16] for you good people so that he can get
[24:20] things passed um without affecting the
[24:23] the situation that’s already in because
[24:25] I do think it’s going to be up to you
[24:27] John and several other of these veterans
[24:30] who actually are running at this very
[24:32] moment. So I encourage
[24:36] out there to please be mindful vote for
[24:38] a veteran over um anybody else that’s in
[24:42] office because you guys have taken a
[24:44] constitutional oath. I mean, I know that
[24:46] supposedly the other U representatives
[24:49] have also taken a constitutional oath,
[24:50] but there is something about when you’ve
[24:52] gone to battle for America that you have
[24:56] a different point of view. Any comments
[24:58] on that, John?
[24:59] >> No, absolutely. You know, there’s
[25:01] there’s something when you hear the
[25:02] pledge of allegiance, you’ve served in
[25:03] the military, uh you know, it’s hard to
[25:05] not go with uh without some tears. um
[25:07] you go through survival evasion of
[25:09] resistance uh school um seir school and
[25:12] you’re put in there as a prisoner of war
[25:13] and at the end of it they bring you in
[25:15] somewhere they play the the national
[25:17] anthem the flag right in front of you
[25:19] and they try to simulate you know that
[25:20] you’re a prisoner of war uh and Jay
[25:22] Collins went through that training I
[25:23] went through that training um it’s a
[25:25] powerful experience and you have such a
[25:26] love for country from that but you know
[25:28] one thing that I’ll what I’ll end end on
[25:30] or add as well is that uh a lot of
[25:33] people think that the issue with the
[25:34] covid vaccine the reinstatement polic
[25:36] policy that everything is fixed. That
[25:38] everything that happened at DoD with
[25:39] regards to uh the COVID mandate has been
[25:42] fixed. Everybody’s invited back. They’re
[25:43] getting full back pay. That’s actually a
[25:45] lie. And there hasn’t been enough work
[25:47] on it and no one’s talking about it. We
[25:48] had about 100,000 veterans, 100,000
[25:50] service members who were forced out
[25:52] either kicked out or voluntarily
[25:54] separated. And of that 100k, only 200
[25:57] have come back in or less than 200. That
[25:59] means for every 500 people separated,
[26:01] less than one’s come back in. The reason
[26:03] being is the process is overly
[26:04] bureaucratic. There isn’t actually full
[26:06] back pay. Only about 10% qualify for any
[26:10] back pay. And even those individuals,
[26:12] their back pay is subtracted from
[26:13] everything they made as a civilian from
[26:15] the day they were kicked out to the day
[26:17] they come back in. So no one’s really
[26:18] getting full back. And you don’t leave
[26:21] an abusive relationship and come back to
[26:22] it unless there’s accountability, unless
[26:24] there is some amends. And the highest
[26:26] ranking individuals in the Pentagon were
[26:28] some of the biggest CO abusers. So no
[26:30] one’s talking about CO accountability.
[26:32] No one’s fighting for those service
[26:34] members who are negatively impacted.
[26:35] This will happen again if and when we
[26:37] have another Democrat president because
[26:39] nothing has been done to stop from
[26:40] happening again. If you care about CO
[26:42] accountability, if you care about our
[26:44] service members, you know, I think that
[26:45] this fight will unfortunately end with
[26:48] my campaign however it goes because no
[26:49] one in Congress is talking about it
[26:50] right now. So if this is important for
[26:52] you, please get involved in the
[26:54] campaign. Vote, donate, do what you can,
[26:56] spread the word because this is
[26:57] important. You know, 500 and less than
[27:00] one. Think about that. Yeah, that’s
[27:02] that’s appalling. That’s appalling. So,
[27:04] that’s the that we’ve been led to
[27:06] believe that all of these service
[27:08] members are able to come back and we’re
[27:10] going to give you the back pay and it’s
[27:12] just lie after lie after lie after lie.
[27:16] Meanwhile, we have people speaking out
[27:18] like George Santos who did make it into
[27:20] Congress and saw all the craziness go on
[27:23] and the sex in the um closets and
[27:27] everything else that he brought forth.
[27:29] And what did they do? They
[27:31] >> Yeah. They kick him out, right? Yeah.
[27:33] >> For campaign finance, for wearing
[27:36] wearing Forgamo suits, right? I I joke
[27:39] with George all the time, you know, like
[27:40] online uh for for his Forgamo and his
[27:44] fashion, you know. So, thankfully,
[27:46] President Trump um has re uh has
[27:49] pardoned him and he’s out speaking. But,
[27:52] uh, I want to encourage people to get
[27:54] out and vote for you, John, and, um,
[27:56] help you, um, in terms of whatever you
[27:59] can do. If you’re in his area, please
[28:00] door knock. If you’re in the military,
[28:02] please share this video around. Uh,
[28:04] believe it or not, that is how John can
[28:07] get votes. John, I assume that people
[28:09] can not only volunteer, but they you’re
[28:11] very receptive to taking phone calls and
[28:14] um, FaceTime doornocking if people want.
[28:17] Is that something that you’ve been doing
[28:18] during your campaign?
[28:20] >> Oh, absolutely. I mean, we’ve been door
[28:22] knockocking like crazy. A number of
[28:23] great volunteers, and yeah, I’ll get hit
[28:25] up on DMs, have phone calls back to
[28:27] people, try to answer questions. But if
[28:29] people want to reach out to me, they can
[28:30] go to franklinfor Florida.com. That’s my
[28:32] campaign website. You can buy merch, you
[28:34] can read my platforms, you can donate,
[28:36] you can sign up to volunteer. I’m on
[28:38] social media, too. X, Instagram,
[28:40] Facebook. All those links are on my
[28:41] website as well, or you can just look it
[28:42] up on those platforms.
[28:44] >> Yep. And we’ll make sure to put it in
[28:45] the description, too, guys. So, and he’s
[28:47] got a very cool logo. So, you know, one
[28:49] of those campaign t-shirts um would
[28:51] would actually be a great momentum to
[28:54] have and carry forward. Um John, I thank
[28:56] you so much for being on today and I I
[29:00] pray that God really blesses you,
[29:02] blesses your campaign full of volunteers
[29:05] um so that you can um have the message
[29:07] far and wide and um so that we can have
[29:10] another veteran and a Christian Congress
[29:14] who is an absolute um pleasure. John,
[29:18] thank you so much and God bless you. Um,
[29:21] any final words you want to make sure
[29:22] the audience
[29:24] >> Yeah, I mean, just please pray for me.
[29:26] That’s the most important thing you do
[29:27] can do. Uh, I won’t win this without God
[29:29] and God’s help. Um, and I’ve told him,
[29:31] too, if this isn’t good for my soul, if
[29:33] this isn’t good for uh just my salvation
[29:35] and holiness, don’t let it happen. But I
[29:37] think with God’s grace, he can make it
[29:39] happen. So, please pray for me. Um, and
[29:41] consider helping out however God tells
[29:42] you to. But thank you so much for uh
[29:44] having me, Christie. I really appreciate
[29:45] it.
[29:46] >> Yes. audience. Thank you guys for tuning
[29:49] in. Make sure that you do click the
[29:51] links below to John’s um campaign
[29:54] website. Go see his logo. Go see the
[29:56] video that he’s talking about. It’s
[29:57] really funny. Um I’ve had the privilege
[29:59] of interviewing John twice now. And um
[30:03] he’s the same guy every single time,
[30:04] John. And I and I um look forward to
[30:07] seeing who your new staff is in terms of
[30:09] when you are elected into Congress.
[30:12] Audience, thank you so much for tuning
[30:14] in. Make sure you share this far and
[30:15] wide. God bless everybody.
